Director
The face behind the name. John is a qualified electrician who served his time from 1984. John Mutch Electrical Services was born in 2005 and has continued to grow and now as John Mutch Building Services, employs 25 people. John’s goal remains the same, to provide a Mutch Better service to our clients.
As of 2015 John Mutch added locksmith to his many trades. As a fully mobile Locksmith John can provide non destructive entry into buildings and vehicles as well as on the spot key cutting and lock replacement.
Operations Director
Scott joined the company back in 2004. He served his apprenticeship with NG Bailey working on mainly industrial and commercial buildings. Once qualified Scott worked under John as a trainee project engineer. Scott oversees the day to day workload for our engineers and liaises with our customers directly to ensure a MUTCH better job is achieved.
Maintenance Manager
Davie joined us at the start of 2014. He is another of our surveyor’s and specialises in property management quotes.
As a time served slater, He has worked his way up in the industry and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience
Davie is hard working, very thorough and always willing to help out.
Accounts Clerk
Sheila is the one to keep in with, as she controls the purse strings.
During school work experience as a junior accountant Sheila developed a passion for the job and since leaving school she has continued on this path.
Administrator
Vicky joined us in November 2013 when looking for a career change.
She has adapted to the roll of administrator and now helps with the everyday running of the business. Her bubbly personality makes her a natural with our customers.

Jade took on role of administrator back in 2012 after completing college. She trained within the company and has built up a great rapport with our customers over the years. She has recently returned to the company after taking time off to have her first child.
Electrical Supervisor
Keith has been with the company since January 2006. He is very experienced and has recently been given the role as our Electrical Supervisor. His years spent being an electrician have given him the skills and knowledge to provide quotes that are not only accurate but unique to our customer’s request.

Garry began at John Mutch in 2011. He has a vast experience in commercial and industrial projects. He is known for going the extra mile, building great relationships and securing us repeat business with our customers.

Craig started at John Mutch as an electrical apprentice in 2008. As a fully qualified electrician, he was chosen as a finalist at the SECTT awards for apprentice of the year 2012. Craig carry’s out great work for the company and our customers.
Plumbing Supervisor
Stuart has been a plumber since 2001, he is a valued member of our team and always excels in any job he is given. He is also one of our gas service engineers, specialising in boiler replacements.

Phil started as a plumber at just 15 and has been with John Mutch since 2011. He has a lifetime of experience in a variety of plumbing and gas works and has proved invaluable to the company. He is extremely hard working and has a great sense of humour.
Phil has now retired (part time) and continues to work with us 2 days per week. When he is not working he likes to spend his days playing golf and bowls.

When Sam joined us he was the youngest of the John Mutch team and could usually be found with Phil, ironically the oldest member, learning the trade from the best possible mentor.
He is now a fully qualified plumber and is helping deliver the best service to our customers possible.

Andrew is our latest addition to our plumbing team. He is eager to learn and showing great initiative. He just survived his first works night out and is quickly becoming a member of the work family.
Joiner
Graham has been a joiner since 1979 and has been at John Mutch for 7 years. Graham is most comfortable on our larger projects where he can get stuck in to a range of different tasks. He has honed his skills to perfection and is always committed to getting the job done, especially when fed with cups of coffee.

In 2011 the team welcomed Martin as a qualified joiner. Coming from a back ground of fitting windows and doors Martin was seeking a new challenge filled with varied projects. Working for John Mutch gives him the opportunity to show off his skills in all aspects of joinery.
Painter and Decorator
Rickie joins us after spending 9 years with Aberdeen City Council.
He has a very high standard of workmanship and pays great attention to detail.
