Having started out as a small electrical company in 2005, John Mutch is now made up of a wonderful team of over 25 electricians, joiners, plumbers, decorators, locksmiths, administrators, and building services experts. It’s a big, friendly team with an incredibly varied set of skills, specialisations, and talents. We may all have different roles in the company, but we are all united by a common goal: to offer our clients the very best level of workmanship and service around!

Director
John Mutch
The face behind the name. John is a qualified electrician who has been serving the local community since 1984. In 2005, John Mutch Electrical Services was born and has continued to grow ever since, now employing 25 people. John’s goal remains the same: to provide a MUTCH better service to our clients.
As of 2015 John Mutch added locksmith to his many trades. As a fully mobile locksmith, John can provide non-destructive entry into buildings and vehicles as well as on-the-spot key cutting and lock replacement services.
Accounts Clerk
Sheila Wilkie
Sheila is the one to keep in with, as she controls the purse strings.
During school work experience as a junior accountant, Sheila developed a passion for the job and since leaving school, she has continued on this path.
Joiner
Graham Murray
Graham has been a joiner since 1979 and is most comfortable on our larger projects where he can get stuck in to a range of different tasks. He has honed his skills to perfection and is always committed to getting the job done, especially when fed with cups of coffee.
Operations Director
Scott Tweedley
Scott joined the company back in 2004. He served his apprenticeship with NG Bailey, working on mainly industrial and commercial buildings. Once qualified, Scott worked under John as a trainee project engineer. Scott oversees the day-to-day workload for our engineers and liaises with our customers directly to ensure a MUTCH better job is achieved.
Maintenance Manager
David Haggart
Davie joined us at the start of 2014. He is another of our surveyors and specialises in property management quotes.
As a time-served slater, he has worked his way up in the industry and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Davie is hard working, very thorough, and always willing to help out.
Electrical Director
Keith Thomson
Keith has been with the company since January 2006. He is very experienced and has recently been given the role as our Electrical Supervisor. His years spent being an electrician have given him the skills and knowledge to provide quotes that are not only accurate but unique to our customers' requests.
Administrator
Vicky Brown
Vicky joined us in November 2013 when looking for a career change.
She has adapted to the roll of administrator and now helps with the everyday running of the business. Her bubbly personality makes her a natural with our customers.
Joiner
Martin Mair
In 2011, the team welcomed Martin as a qualified joiner. Coming from a background of fitting windows and doors, Martin was seeking a new challenge filled with varied projects. Working for John Mutch gives him the opportunity to show off his skills in all aspects of joinery.

Stuart Murdoch
Stuart has been a plumber since 2001. He is a valued member of our team and always excels in any job he is given. He is also one of our gas service engineers, specialising in boiler replacements.
